Grazing Service Manager

South Taranaki – Whanganui – Manawatū

We’re looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Grazing Service Manager to work alongside dairy farmers and grower farmers throughout the wider South Taranaki, Whanganui and Manawatū area.

This is a people-focused role with a practical aspect — working directly with farmers, securing quality grazing, and ensuring stock are managed to deliver strong results.

About the Role

You will play a key role in building trusted relationships with farmers while managing and developing grazing opportunities in the South Taranaki, Whanganui and Manawatū region.

Working within a team of experienced Service Managers, you’ll use proven systems, practical tools, and industry knowledge to deliver a professional grazing management service that focuses on outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and grow grazing business within the wider Whanganui region
  • Build strong relationships with heifer owners, growers, and industry partners
  • Secure and manage grazing opportunities that meet client expectations
  • Promote services and develop new grazing contracts
  • Ensure stock are traceable and weighed at required intervals
  • Monitor performance and maintain accurate reporting

What We’re Looking For

The successful applicant will have:

  • Strong farming knowledge, particularly dairy and/or grazing management
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good organisation and time management
  • Confidence using reporting systems and technology with good computer skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities with a positive attitude

You’ll likely be someone who:

  • Enjoys working with farmers, building trust, and getting your hands dirty
  • Is self-motivated and well organised
  • Takes pride in doing things properly
  • Values honesty, reliability, and follow-through

What’s On Offer

  • Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 + performance bonus
